Temporary Manager, School Content

Reporting to the Senior Director of Education and Youth Engagement, the Temporary Manager of School Content will lead the planning and development of instructional resources and communications to support the UNICEF Kid Power program and other key USF school-based initiatives.

This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to)**:**

  • Develop lesson plans and curricular resources to support UNICEF Kid Power and other USF initiatives
  • Develop a communications strategy for sustained teacher engagement and program compliance
  • Form and manage an educator advisory group to inform the development of instructional resources
  • Lead formal and informal evaluation efforts to assess the effectiveness of educational materials
  • Form and manage partnerships with education, youth and other relevant organizations that strengthen our instructional approach and increase USF’s credibility and reputation among educator audiences
  • Represent USF at educational conferences and events
  • Visit UNICEF Kid Power schools to observe the program in action, teach demonstration lessons, or otherwise assess how the program is working in schools
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education or a related field preferred
  • Five years of experience in the field of education; a background in teaching, physical education, curriculum writing, and/or children’s publishing is a plus
  • Understanding of current trends in education in the United States and knowledge of the global education and human rights fields
  • Understanding of the physical education field and strategies for improving physical fitness among youth
  • Demonstrated strong experience in curriculum development and writing for children
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with team members as well as across departments to achieve goals and ensure organizational support for identified initiatives
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Availability for occasional domestic travel
  • Must demonstrate USF Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service

Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
