Project Associate
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Project Management Office (PMO), Marketing & Communications, the Project Associate will traffic all Marketing & Communications service requests, establish deadlines and timelines for delivery of requests, and clearly communicate expectations back to requesting client divisions. The Project Associate will also manage some select cross-divisional projects such as publications or campaigns, as well as an interdivisional calendar of integrated communications.
Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
Using workflow tool, traffic all Marketing & Communications production requests. This includes, assigning all work deliverables and stages, identifying and enforcing deadlines and appropriate workflows, and communicating deadlines and expectations back to clients
Using org-wide strategic plan as a guide, effectively prioritize service requests when assigning deadlines and assigning work. Clearly articulate to “clients” how prioritization affects deadlines/delivery of services when appropriate
Navigate UNICEF USA staff to available branded templates, DIY suite of services in place of custom service requests
Disperse weekly job reports and work with teams to allocate resources accordingly based on active jobs and resources available
Management and dissemination of division wide communications calendar, including consolidated calendar of earned, owned and paid communications
Coordination among Marketing & Communications channels to ensure communications are aligned on subject matter/message
Project Management of some large cross divisional projects and campaigns
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years relevant work experience, preferably in a project or campaign management/coordination capacity
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent customer satisfaction
Must be solution-oriented, take initiative and have the ability to find common ground across a variety of teams
Solid written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with colleagues in and out of the Marketing & Communications Division
Experience with using a wide variety of digital platforms a plus or willingness to learn new software and platforms as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Basecamp (and other web project management tools) preferred
Demonstrated interest in global affairs and/or youth/children’s rights issues a plus
